Don’t Start an Unhealthy Relationship

When you’re beginning a new relationship and there are so many potential mates to choose from; pick your partner carefully and don’t start an unhealthy relationship. Don’t pick a pretender that acts like the Macho Man or the living, breathing, walking, talking, Barbie Doll because it’s very hard to live up to those standards.

Eventually their flaws will come shining through; then they will be so embarrassed they will want to run out of the room and hide. Here’s a tip for them when it happens, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. We can only find truly perfect people in the movies or books, and even they like to show their imperfections. In real life you might find some plastic people that think they are flawless, the sad thing is they actually believe it.

If you paired up with your mate just so you can impress your friends with a, look who I’m dating, expect to break-up, unless they are as vain as you. Your date will see thru you, even though all plastic isn’t transparent. There are quite a few plastic people on both sides of the gender fence; you can spot them fairly quickly, by their insincerity, their need to talk about themselves, and their “see me” fetish.

They constantly want you and others to comment on their beauty, not occasionally but it’s their main goal in life, and the only thing they will talk about. If you try and, God forbid, interrupt them with a conversation about anything else; they know how to manipulate the discussion back to their attributes, and they usually do.

Don’t get me wrong almost everyone cares about their own looks but not everyone loves them self to the degree that plastic people do. I am sure the majority of you know someone that thinks they are the chosen one. They need to be front and center at all times, and they would like you to bow or curtsy when you are in their presence. Once you correctly identify them don’t walk away, run as fast as you can.

Relationships that lasts for any length of time are guaranteed to have problems, the difference between the ones that last and the ones that split the sheets are basically maturity and commitment. If you are in tune with both, you should always be able to come to an understanding, and bend a little while your mate does the same.

When only one of the pair gives in frequently you’re headed for a break-up, ultimately they will get tired of bending over backwards and start looking past you. If you are only weak in maturity or commitment you are going to need some help and guidance and you should be able to overcome all obstacles.
